Flanders Horse Expo in Gent

Since Niels already had his ticket for the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in the pocket, Niels decided to let the last World Cup in Gothenburg pass by and chose to compete in his own country. He traveled with Furmint, Di Cantero Van Ter Hulst Z and Luca Van ‘t Eigenlo to Ghent where the 13th edition of Flanders Horse Expo took place.

During the opening day on Thursday, both Luca Van ‘t Eigenlo and Furmint immediately jumped a clear round. For Luca it became a ‘training round’ in the 1m30 class while Furmint finished 5th in the 1m40 main class.

On Friday evening he jumped Luca in the Masters. After a clear first round they got a fault in the second round, which was good for an ex aequo 3rd place. That one fault was also the result for Di Cantero Van Ter Hulst in the CSI2* GP on Saturday,  which resulted in a 14th place.

Niels is now going to Qatar for 2 weeks where next week will be the kick-off of the new season of the Longines Global Champions Tour!
